The Golf Courses

royal birkdale

Situated on the golden links of the North West coast in Southport, Royal Birkdale is possibly the finest of all courses in England. Royal Birkdale has held more Championship and International events since World War 2 than any other course in the world. Open Championships, Ryder Cups, Women's British Opens, Senior Opens, Amateur Championships, Walker Cups and Curtis Cups.

Royal Liverpool

Built in 1869, Royal Liverpool Golf Club is located on the edge of the Dee Shores and against the backdrop of the distant Welsh hills. Home of the 151st Open Championship in 2023, the course at Royal Liverpool Golf Club may at first appear to look flat and benign, but don't let this be deceiving. In recent years golf architect Donald Steel has been commissioned, with great success, to restore and elevate the course to modern championship standards. It is a true links test.

Formby

Few golfing destinations can rival Formby for the beauty of the course, the variety of the holes and all year round playability. Formby is truly one of the world’s finest championship links golf courses, founded in 1884. Running through mature sand dunes and pinewoods, the combination of well protected greens, undulating fairways and challenging tee shots signifies a course of magnificent contrasts.

Hillside

Hillside Golf Club is situated in Southport, the home of "England’s Golf Coast" which boasts England's finest stretch of coastal links. Hillside has hosted many amateur and professional tournaments in its illustrious history and was recently selected by the DP World Tour to stage the 2022 Cazoo Classic following the hugely successful 2019 British Masters.

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club is one of the premier links courses in the world, host to eleven Open Championships, two Ryder Cups and numerous other major tournaments including The Women’s Open, The Senior Open, The Amateur Championship and The Walker Cup. The course is set back from the sea yet close enough for the coastal breeze to have an effect on one’s game and was aptly described by Bernard Darwin, the leading golf writer of the thirties, as ‘a beast of a Course, but a just beast’.

The Hotel

TITANIC HOTEL, LIVERPOOL (4*)

The building stands at over one-hundred years old, but the rooms at The Titanic Hotel have been designed to bring a contemporary feel for travellers looking for luxury in Liverpool.
